Perfect place to watch the sunset on a winters day. A smallish restaurant/cafe with great food and friendly staff. Even dogs are welcome which is ideal. Very wheelchair friendly too!

Really great position and a nice facility to have on the beach. Staff are friendly and efficient and the menu has a good selection. Have only sampled a limited part of the menu but it has always been very good. Only negatives are that the toilets are the public ones outside and acoustics inside are quite noisy when it is busy so probably not ideal for hearing aid wearers. Apart from those minor things it is well worth going and a great place to go anytime of the year. Would recommend!
Found this place by chance having eaten (and been a little disappointed) at nearby Hikers cafe the day before. Must say we were all very pleased with Bistro on the beach, great home cooked food and great service, all at a reasonable price. An easy 5 stars.
Would definitely return..... First time visitor with my family. My sister and mum had both been before and it was my sister's choice for a birthday lunch. Location is good - on the promenade, 10 feet from the beach, with a great view of the sea. A pay car park is located above the building and there is a slope to take you down to the promenade. Menu selection is good and prices are very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bistro is also dog friendly.
