Really good, interesting small dishes. Better than I expected non-traditional tapas. 80s Italian decor. Homegrown veg and thoughtfully put together dishes. We loved the char-grilled Hispi cabbage with chilli crumb and Japanese mayo, and the fish and chips. Will return!
Very friendly place an welcoming helpful guys to help you understand the food menu which is written up on a chalk board behind a seated bar. There are sharing tables to sit at as well. It is advisable to book in advance as it gets very busy!! Food is tapas dishes an very tasty. Various beers an wines as well. Down one side of the wall is a large fish tank an above beautiful airerated plants. But the loos are a experience in them selves. You go through a glass door into darkness well little light. There are 3 toilets. In black spotless but instead of music you hear the soothing voice of David Attanborough an jungle sounds. The soap made my hands so soft an to dry black flannel s to use wow.!! Lovely atmosphere throughout the restaurant will certainly go again. Oh and as its owned by the larderhouse up the road on a Sunday they do roast lunches.
Great service, really friendly vibe. Amazing food with plenty of veg and vegan options. All locally sourced and seasonal produce. Good selection of specially selected wines, including orange wines. Big selection of craft beers and well-made cocktails. Food was undoubtedly the highlight though. Bournemouth and southbourne need more places like this. Restaurants that are pushing the boundaries of what can be done and delivering something superb and unique. Can't wait to go again.
'Terry Tapas' as the locals call it. A contemporary take on tapas with busy but friendly chefs, scurrying around, wearing black latex gloves. Try the mini scotch eggs...quails eggs...in black pudding meat. Delicious. The black cod is awesome. Actually, it's difficult to go wrong here if you are a grazer who likes to chat and swing your legs on the swivelling bar stools. The toilet is also a feature. Spoiler alert. David Attenborough talks to you while you are discharging. Weird and memorable for the wrong reasons. Oh, David.
Terroir continues to impress. Since it opened the thought and attention to detail that goes into everything has never once had a day off. The food and drink is excellent, and staff are always friendly, engaging, and helpful.It's a winning formula and the ongoing success is well deserved.
